The next two-day training course will be held on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March (9.30am-4.30pm) at McLaren Vale Uniting Church. People with a listening ear, who are prepared to offer a ministry of presence, care and comfort to disaster-affected people, are invited to be trained and apply for this significant ministry. Clearview Uniting Church

On Sunday 18 December, Clearview Uniting Church will hold a closing service to celebrate the congregation’s many years of witness, worship and service. The event will include a shared morning tea, providing time for past and present congregation members and ministry leaders to share their memories. All are invited, and the congregation especially encourages past members and ministry families to attend if they’re able.

Making Christmas special, with gifts that give love

Give a gift of love, peace and hope not only to family, but to communities overcoming poverty around the world. Say it with chickens and bring a smile to faces from here to Zimbabwe, where this gift is helping families thrive. Say it with peace and help bring reconciliation in South Sudan, one of the world's most troubled countries. Visit everythingincommon.com.au and order before Friday 16 December.

Families – in all their various shapes and sizes – play a vital role in nurturing compassionate and resilient people. Uniting Communities wants to see children thrive in loving families. Donations made to the Uniting Communities Christmas Appeal support children and families, this Christmas and beyond. Please click here to donate.

Sally Stamp

Thank you to all church groups and members for saving your stamps in 2016! Sally Stamp has been able to add to mission funds considerably this year, which has enabled containers of books to be sent overseas via South Pacific School Aid Inc.

They may also be dropped in at the Uniting Church SA office (Level 2, 212 Pirie Street, Adelaide), and pick up of stamps is also generally available.
