The videos are six to eight minutes long, and are designed primarily for use with newcomers to congregations, organisations or schools. They are particularly suitable for group settings. UniSA Hawke EU Centre event – “Offering hospitality when the stranger is at the gate”

Professor Alison Phipps will speak at a Hawke EU Centre event being held at Adelaide West Uniting Church on Saturday 12 November, 2-4pm. The talk will look at the role faith communities played in welcoming refugees to Europe, and especially in Scotland over the past 10 years. Alison will also reflect on congregations’ reluctance to act until a point of crisis has been reached, and the compatibility of practical realities with faith-based teachings.
