Uniting Foundation grant applications

Uniting Foundation is seeking applications from congregations, faith communities, ministry centres and individuals for assistance with funding eligible projects. Due to the modest amount of funds available for distribution this year, prayerful discernment and discretion is required before applying.

Application forms and eligibility criteria are available here. Closing date for applications 31 July 2016.

KCO 2016

Burst: Life with Jesus! Encourage everyone you know to join us at KCO! Promo material is now available. Contact Turn on Javascript! with the number of postcards and posters your church or faith community would like to receive. Registrations will open in June, so keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks.

 

Final payment notice scams

Following reports from some of our congregations we’d like to remind everyone to be mindful of incoming invoices and final notices. Some of our congregations have been receiving final notices purporting to be from companies that they have no dealings with. The SA Government provides some helpful tips for spotting scams on their website.

 

Hire forms for Uniting Church premises

Hiring out church premises requires a Licence Agreement to be in place – an agreement formalising the hire by a person/organisation for non-exclusive use, including if required for one occasion only. There are three agreements available to congregations (short form, long form, and long form including bond). NCLS order forms

Congregations are reminded that National Church Life Survey forms can be ordered through Mission Resourcing. Please do not send money for these forms at present. Congregations will be invoiced only for those forms they order, with Synod paying the registration fees.

Communicators’ Catch-up

There is still time to RSVP for the Communicators Catch-up, which will be held at Adelaide West Uniting Church (312 Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Brooklyn Park) on Tuesday 7 June, 10.30am-1pm. The event will explore topics that may be useful for churches engaging in different kinds of communications (newsletter, promotional materials, websites, etc.).
