Newland Uniting Church (Victor Harbor)

20-28 Victoria Street, Victor Harbor

Worship times:

Time of Church Service - 9.30am
Holy Communion 1st Sunday each month

Our style of service is traditional with a pipe organ.
We are developing creative congregational participation & leadership.

Following worship, we share fellowship over a cup tea/coffee.
Following the worship service on the second Sunday, we have the opportunity to explore topics relating to social justice and other forms of faith.

Our service is open to all and we welcome you to join us in worship.
We believe that we are able to offer to our community, a caring, warm friendship in which pastoral care is of high priority.

About us:

The Newland Church buildings are both heritage listed, the first built in 1869 and the second church, built 1927, is not only a wonderful worship centre, but serves the community as an excellent venue for concerts etc.

We have several Church groups with special emphasis.

Newland Drives - Each month on the fourth Tuesday, we provide for those who are unable to readily get out of their homes, an afternoon of fellowship, by a motor car tour of the district, followed by afternoon tea.

Next Size Up - An exchange service for children's clothing.  A sale of second-hand clothing.  Open each Thursday 10.30a.m -4 p.m.  Supervised children's play area.

Friendship Club - Meeting monthly on the first Monday of the month, in the evening, providing fellowship between people from different churches, and speakers with interesting topics.

Adult Fellowship - Meeting each month in the afternoon, providing fellowship and speakers on various subjects.

Sri Lankan Group - This group supports educational work in Sri Lanka

Hospital visiting - In addition to our Minister, one of our members is our official hospital visitor.

School Chaplaincy - We financially support the School chaplaincy system in Victor, which we believe provides a very worthwhile service for our young people.

Pastoral Visiting - We have pastoral visitors for local residential care facilities.

Home Groups - Members of the congregation are encouraged to join in one of a number of home groups.  This provides opportunity for members to be part of a caring and close fellowship group.
