The Intergen Team

The Intergenerational Team, also known as the Intergen Team, is part of the Mission and Leadership Development ministry centre, primarily based within the Mission Resourcing team.

Our role is to encourage and equip congregations and leaders to think intergenerationally about faith formation – to consider how the whole people of God might relate to, learn from and disciple each other in and out of a church context. Our particular emphasis also includes discipleship with young people, including children, youth, young adults and families.

The Intergen team includes:

  • Discipleship Developers - Melissa Neumann, who has a Children and Family Ministry discipleship focus, and Mike Wardrop, who has a Youth & Young Adults discipleship focus, including coordinating Intern Year at Uniting College.
  • Leadership Developer – Judyth Roberts with a focus on Period of Discernment, Ministry of Pastor and overseeing the Intern Plus program.
  • Northern Intergen Project Worker – Laura Carson who is based at Salisbury Uniting Church and resources north-eastern Adelaide churches in intergenerational ministry.

The Intergen team works across both the Presbytery and Synod office in Pirie St and at Uniting College in Brooklyn Park.

We can’t wait to meet with you and chat about developing disciples and leaders in your community.

Please contact us if you would like to participate in a conversation to affirm your current ministries with young people, identify gaps in discipleship ministries across the generations, and be resourced for possible next steps.
