Strategic Plan

The Uniting Church has a new Strategic Plan - it underpins our future directions for mission and ministry. To find our more about our Strategic Plan, please view this video presentation.
Copies of this free DVD - which is ideal for use in your congregation - are available by contacting Linda Bastick on 8236 4212 or email: lindab@sa.uca.org.au.
Six Key Directions
Our Strategic Plan has Six Key Directions:
-
Fostering Conversion Growth
-
Raising Leaders
-
Growing Disciples
-
Developing New Models
-
Expanding our Profile
-
Championing Justice
We are entering a new and vital stage in the life of the Uniting Church SA. In November 2006, the Presbytery and Synod approved a new Strategic Plan for the church. This plan will ensure that we are intentional and committed about our future. It will open up many new and exciting possibilities for our Church as we raise up new leaders, bring people to Christ, speak out against injustice, grow disciples, develop new relevant models of ministry and be recognised as an active force in communities across our state.
Our new Strategic Plan will be a guiding light, directing our actions and priorities and ensuring we have a very clear focus over the next five years.
Most importantly our Strategic Plan is for everyone - church members, congregations, agencies and schools, ministers and leaders, and staff. While we are aware that many groups within the church have their own strategic plans - we also expect that many aspects of the Presbytery and Synod's Strategic Plan will take root in each of those places too, so that together we can make a difference in the name of Christ.

The Key Directions that will be given priority this year are Leadership, Conversion Growth and Justice.
