Site help
We hope you are finding our website easy to navigate and full of relevant content.
Navigation
To help you find your bearings, you might like to know there are five main sections to this site:
- Presbytery and Synod
- Mission Resourcing Network (coming online soon)
- Parkin-Wesley College (coming online soon)
- UC Invest
- UnitingCare SA
To jump between these main "site areas" simply use the drop-down list in the top right of most web pages in this site.
To jump back to the main "portal" or "entry" page, look for the words "Uniting Church SA" to the left of the drop down list. Click on that to go to the main entrance to this site.
A way to find most things is to search using the "search box" also in the top right of most pages. Please note, these search boxes will primarily search the "site area" you are in. If you can't find what you are looking for, try searching in a differnent site area.
Another way to locate things is to use the "site map". You can find a link to a site map at the bottom of most pages. Click on this to see a simple, clickable list of all the main pages in the site area you are in at the time. If you see what you want, click the link and you will be taken there.
Downloads
Finally, a word about PDFs and other downloads.
There is a lot of content on this site available as PDF files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files. The advantage is you get to see them as the author intended and not skewed as sometimes happens when documents are saved in other formats. You can download a free copy of the software from the Adobe website.
When downloading any documents from the internet, apart from making sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date to keep you safe from viruses, we suggest you right-click on download links and choose to "save target as" to save the document to your computer before trying to open it. Often, if you just click to open a download document, it can take a while and make you think your computer has frozen. Saving the file first gives you more control and feedback over the situation.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please use the "contact webmaster" link at the bottom of most pages of the site and share them with me. Steve Davis, webmaster.
