What is KCO@Home?
Congregations, schools and agencies are invited to host a KCO@Home. We know that each have fantastic ministries in their own community that are tailor made for the kids in that neighbourhood. This is the opportunity to showcase what they can offer. Groups all over the state will be hosting a special KCO@Home at the same time in the same weekend in March 2009! To support groups, the KCO Committee will provide a theme, program ideas, resources, promotion, networking and lots of encouragement. What a fantastic opportunity to grow KCO so we have lots more people to invite to KCO 2010 when we all join in together at our new venue.

On the Group Coordinator's page there is a list of resources that the KCO Exec and Committee will be providing for groups hosting a KCO@Home Colony. There will soon be information about groups who have already decided to host a KCO@home, if your group is planning to host a Colony please let us know.
2009 Dates: 14th & 15th of March 2009
KCO@Home will be officially held on weekend of the 14th & 15th of March 2009. It will be ideal if all KCO@Home events were held on this weekend as we will hopefully be connecting groups together via the internet on this weekend. If it is impossible for your group to meet at this time please do not let this stop you from holding an event. We will support you to the best of our ability when ever you are able to hold your event.
2009 Theme: KCOwnia - A place to belong
Welcome to KCOwnia a planet of many colonies revolving around the 'Son!' Many different people from many different places make KCOwnia a great place to belong. The atmosphere of KCOwnia is made up of faith, fun and friendship. Survival depends upon connection to Son, each other, and other colonies. Come! Enjoy life on KCOwnia it will change your world.
This theme's focus is about belonging to God's Kingdom here on earth. We will use the imagery of space to explore the idea of belonging to a community. We hope that this theme will enable kids to develop faith, have fun and make friends.
2010 Theme: KCOwnia United!
KCOwnia United will be the celebration of Colonies' Uniting in one venue. We will learn about working together as God's people.
2010 New Venue:
A group of expert volunteers have looked carefully at venue models and have provided a risk assessment and recommendations for a small number of potential venues to the KCO Executive. We are currently looking at 2 of these recommendations: a chance to go high tech indoors (with outdoor camping) or back to basics in the bush. It is also possible that another venue will surface - so we will keep our options open. These recommendations are exciting but will bring about significant change in the way we 'do' KCO. Both the program and logistics will be affected. The KCO Committee has decided that we are committed to moving to a new venue but with the current timeframe and resources available to us will not be ready to do this in 2009.
