A conversation series presented by The Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts and UCLT.
If you are a preacher in your community join in this series of conversation on developing and strengthening preaching skills. Each session includes: reflection on our own preaching practice, conversation on a thought provoking topic and preparation for a sermon two weeks ahead.
Topics will include:
1. Preaching in Practice – performance art or pastoral act
2. The Gender Divide – is there a difference in men and women preaching? Is there a difference in men and women listening?
3. Blood, Guts and Conquerors – the Old Testament in a post-colonial era and Australia’s colonising context
4. Preaching as Prophetic Act – preaching that shapes the world
