Godly Play Core Training
Adelaide College of Divinity
Godly Play Room E3, 312 Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Brooklyn Park
9 June 2018 9:00am - 5:00pm
An intense three-day course in which participants are immersed in Godly Play practice, including learning and telling a story for supportive feedback.
Two accredited trainers will work with the group to provide information and experience of the three genres of stories in Godly Play, the role of the storyteller, the role of the doorperson, the Godly Play space, materials, response time, spirituality of the child, forming and maintaining a story circle community that is safe, the history and practice of Godly Play and much more.
The core training required to achieve accreditation as a storyteller/doorperson takes three days (a minimum of 21 hours training). All three days and each session must be attended to achieve accreditation.
Suitable for congregation/parish workers, teachers, community workers, those employed in hospitals, aged care or correctional services; and those hoping to use Godly Play in the life of their family.
This Core Training is being held on June 9, 16 and 30 from 9am to 5pm. Please note this is across three Saturdays in June (rather than on consecutive days).
