On the closing day of the Presbytery and Synod meeting in November 2017 a group gathered over lunch to discuss the impact of violence against women in our communities. We wanted to do something positive to prevent further male violence against women. There was agreement that we should re-establish a pool of leaders who are available to run workshops around DV to recommit to prevention of violence against women.
Uniting Church President- Elect Dr Deidre Palmer will lead a training workshop for those who want to be part of a small group of trainers who are willing to be available for congregations and groups who want to understand the impact and prevent violence against women.
Preparation for those who want to lead local small workshops based on the Domestic Violence Handbook
Lunch provided. Parking available by arrangement.
