"By Word and by Deed" is a new book, to be published by Mediacom, which explores the history of lay education and ministry training programs for lay members in the Uniting Church in South Australia and its preceding denominations.
The author, Rev David Houston, and contributors (Dr Deidre Palmer, Dr Craig Mitchell and Rev Tim Hein) invite you to be present at the launch to be held at the Uniting College on Monday 16 October at 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
Rev Prof Andrew Dutney, Principal of The Uniting College for Leadership and Theology, has contributed a foreword to the book and will launch this important aspect of the history of our church in South Australia.
The Uniting Church SA Historical Society has supported the project financially through its Grants Scheme.
