In 2017, Spicer Uniting Church has been hosting a series of mental health seminars presented by Rev Mark Boyce. This is the final session for the year and will focus on grieving.
Mark has worked as a chaplain in the mental health arena for the last 20 years. This has included working in hospitals, the community and in rehabs. Mark has also developed a six-week training package for people on being able to care and support people who experience mental illness.
Prior to working as a chaplain Mark worked for almost 20 years as a nurse, working in acute hospital settings, and in community, mental health, and drug and alcohol services. Mark has continued to study and update his skills and knowledge in the mental health arena.
