Event details

As part of their Oceania Tour 2017, Stephen Jenkinson and Gregory Hoskins will present their Night of Grief & Mystery Concert on Saturday 25 March, 7-930pm. The evening will be part poetry, part lamentation, part book reading, part ribaldry, part lifting the mortal veil and learning the mysteries there... With a focus on storytelling and music, the event aims to stoke the fires of your imagination around what dying could be in an otherwise death phobic culture.

On Sunday 26 March, Stephen will also lead a teaching day based on his recent book, "Die Wise: a manifesto for Sanity and Soul". This Sunday workshop is an immersion experience to midwife the revivifying of our capacity to wonder deeply and fruitfully to recover the cultural wisdom that surrounds dying wisely. This event will run from 10am-4pm, and attendees are asked to bring their own bagged lunch.

A self-proclaimed "culture activist who was educated at Harvard, Stephen previously headed the counselling team of Canada's largest home-based palliative care program and was an assistant professor at a prominent medical school.

Gregory is a well-known musician, and he will accompany Stephen's storytelling in the Saturday concert.
