First time offered: Intensive Church Planting Course commencing 27 Feb to 3 March 2017.

Initially to be taught across one week (5 days x 6 hours per day), the course will be taught by practitioners and will include Interactive lectures, peer to peer learning, personal spiritual formation, application of ideas to real situations, invited guest speakers and an extensive reading list.

This course provides a one week intensive covering the essentials of church planting.
A key focus is looking at the “how to” of planting a church from conception, recruiting, birth/launch, the first 100 days through to the first 3 years.
The unit also covers the characteristics required to be a church planter as well as the theological and missional principles for various models of church planting.
It also includes contextual analysis in order to determine appropriate church planting methodologies, as well as spirituality and ecclesiology. The development of key elements such as worship style, evangelism and discipleship strategies are covered, as well as practical considerations such as recruiting, facilities, funding and administration for a church plant.
